There are endless places to visit and things to see in the local area whilst staying at Hillside, but where do you start? One of our lodge owners has kindly given some reviews of places they have visited and even better, some top tips on where you can use offer or discount vouchers! Many thanks to Julie for sharing this with us.

An opportunity to treat yourself to some local produce varying from local meats, pies, cakes, gin plus many gift ideas for all ages.
Robert Thompson’s Vistor Centre approx. 12 miles
The home of Mouseman Furniture. There is a museum, garden and gift shop. https://www.robertthompsons.co.uk/visitor-centre/
A good afternoon out, something a bit different!

The Potting Shed- Northallerton- approx. 7 miles
Fancy a fun day or evening meal and/or drinks as a couple, with family and friends, good food, lots of choice, all at reasonable prices as are the drinks and cocktails have selected times at 2 for 1.
Live music some evenings.
Another place on Meerkat Movies 2 for 1! Even better value!
White Horse fish and chips- Thirsk- approx. 5.5 miles
Never eaten in but the take away fish and chips are really good, ideal stop off if coming to your lodge after work and need a quick meal rather than starting cooking!
